WHY DO WE RECEIVE SIGNS FROM THE SPIRIT WORLD
Death Is The Greatest Illusion
Death is the greatest illusion
We never cease to exist
It’s just our Earthly body
That will be truly missed
We are pure eternal Beings
A part of our Creator, Source
The most used name is God
Some doubt this, of course
It takes an open mind
Not limiting by old belief
To realise the simple truth
There is no need for grief
Just by sending out a thought
Our loved ones are close by
Though in another dimension
Not floating around in the sky!
We live in a 3D world
All linear in time and space
A beginning and an end
For all the human race
However, humans are evolving
Moving into a world of 5D
And from that new perspective
Other dimensions we can see

As the poem suggests, we never cease to exist. As Spiritualists, we believe in the continuous existence of the human soul. Upon the death of the physical body, the energetic parts of our being continue as an integral part of something that has always existed and will continue to evolve. As mediums, we strive to provide comfort, reassurance, validation, and guidance.
OUR OWN MESSAGES
However, we are capable of receiving our own messages from those in the spirit world. It is sending out a thought to our loved ones and allowing ourselves to come to the experience with an open heart and mind.
NEW PERSPECTIVE
Spiritualism offers the grieving a new perspective, an opportunity to recognise that we are eternal beings and that Father God is the eternal source of life.
WAY WE LIVE OUR LIVES
As Spiritualists this knowledge offers us with a different outlook on life and the way we live our lives.
DEMANDING A PARTICULAR SIGN
We’re simply being asked to open our hearts and minds and send a thought to the spirit world. The spirit world's intelligence then has an opportunity to respond. It is essential not to demand a particular sign from those in the spirit world rather than let them communicate how they see fit. This is why demanding that a medium provide specific evidence is not always helpful; the spirit communicator will provide what is essential and meaningful to them.
PERSONAL EXPERIENCES OF SIGNS
This response may take the form of dream visitations, synchronicities, physical sensations, animal messengers, signs in nature, or electronic disturbances.
Fundamentally, it is being open to the diverse and unique ways the spirit world communicates with us. It may not always show up in the same way.
PERSONAL AND UNIQUE
Signs from the spirit world are highly personal and unique to each individual. They may choose one sign to reach their sister and a different one to reach their mother.
SINGS THAT BEST REPRESENT THE SPIRIT
In my experience, it is based on personality, profession, interests, shared memories, and shared relationships. All of these things define us. Therefore, it is understandable that the signs we may receive best represent the spirit communicator and the connection shared.
HOW DO WE KNOW IT’S A SIGN
Often, the sign feels personal. It is not just about the sign; it’s about recognising the feeling that comes with it—that overwhelming presence that envelopes us.
Developing a deeper connection with ourselves and the spirit world takes time and practice, so patience is key.
RECEIVING SIGNS HELPS US TO RECOGNISE THE CONTINUOUS EXISTENCE OF THE HUMAN SOUL.
Genuinely acknowledging the idea that will are eternal beings and connecting with that divine source helps us to remain open to the power and intelligence of the spirit world.
CAPABLE OF RECEIVING OUR OWN MESSAGES
I believe we can all communicate with our loved ones; we don’t have to seek out the services of a medium. We need to learn to attune to and surrender to the power and presence that encircles us all.
So why is ongoing dialogue critical?
Mediumship offers us all the opportunity to receive comfort, guidance, validation and reassurance that their presence and love are everlasting.
NEW PERSPECTIVE / HOW WE LIVE OUR LIVES
However, whatever form we receive the communication in, it should not take away our right to live our lives. In God's wisdom, he has granted us free will in all aspects of life. We can choose to heed or ignore the help offered. We cannot place responsibility for the outcome of decisions we make on the shoulders of others.
However, if we remain open to the idea of the human soul's continuous existence, we will eventually receive validation, comfort, and guidance from the spirit world. These may come in unexpected ways, but they may also provide us with a new perspective on life and the way we live it.
