I would like you to read this and take on board its meaning as I think many have both an unrealistic expectation and a misunderstanding about Mediumship and belonging to a Psychic and Wellbeing Circle.
Firstly, I am not a trained counsellor, psychologist, doctor, or psychiatrist. I am not a fortune teller, a guru, a person to give your personal power away to, and I certainly do not want power over you. No one here will tell you what to believe, how to believe, and what to do and how to do it, that is not my or our job or responsibility. I cannot make you do anything that you do not wish to do, or think anything you do not personally believe in.
I cannot tell if you have a mental or physical illness. I might receive messages about it, but I am not responsible for them in any way.
What I am, is a trained and professional Medium and Teacher, which means as a teacher I will share with you my experiences and education as a Medium, giving you a pathway to follow in a protected and caring environment.
I have been developing since 1986 when I first sat in a Development Circle with Kath and Rob Saunders who ran the Chelsea Spiritualist Centre. I sat faithfully for 7 years before starting my own Circle in 1993. Kath and Rob introduced me to platform work at several Spiritualist Centre’s and I have been working with them since 1988.
My first Tuesday night Circle began in 1993 and has been continuously working since then, later followed by a Thursday afternoon Circle which has been continuously running since 1999. There is now a third Circle in Hadfield (near Coburg in the City) which began last year.
I was trained in Reiki by Denise Crundell in 1990, Reiki II by Dr Pauline Fitzgerald in 1994 and became a Reiki Master in February 1999 and have been teaching and giving professional Reiki ever since.
As a teacher of Psychic Development and Reiki, my duties to you are: -
- To guide you and let you know all the different aspects of working with Psychic Awareness.
- You are being trained to be a controlled Medium, not an uncontrolled one.
- In a way my work is to demystify the energy, making you aware it is a gift that we all have, and that the Classes are a way to learn about it and work with it for the betterment of your life and all those around you.
- In the first session we tell you about protection and that this is not an energy to trifle with. It is serious work and can have serious consequences if not handled in the right way.
- You are encouraged only to open up within the Circle energy during your training period. It is certainly not encouraged to be open all the time as it would be dangerous, exhausting and a waste of energy.
- To set up with you the habit of working with integrity and honesty to the very best of your ability.
- We work with you and help you to enhance and understand the natural gifts that you already have, by sorting out whether you are clairvoyant, clairsentient, clairaudient or empathic.
- I expect a commitment to the Circle every week (or fortnight, illness and family commitments allowing). The more you put in – the more you get out which is a simple natural law.
- At the right time, which may well be at least 2 years from starting your journey with our Psychic and Wellbeing Circles, to become a working Medium and four years to run a development Circle yourself, encouragement to start your own practice, first with readings (or Reiki after completing Reiki II) and then your own classes. You will be encouraged to do some public work towards the end of your time with me either at the Spiritualist Centre’s or at our Psychic and Wellbeing Festivals.
I share openly with you my experiences of being a working Medium and Reiki Master, so that you can learn from them.
Not everyone becomes a professional Medium. Some choose to work with the energy in their own fields of endeavour. People come from all walks of life and work with the energy in many ways different. However, many people have gone on to be exceptionally great professional Mediums from the Circle.
There is no beginning to the Circle and no end. You join when you wish to, and you end when you feel it is time for you to move on. As a Reiki Master, I provide Reiki Days so that you can enhance and use your Reiki abilities.
I only wish for you the very best on your journey with this extraordinary energy, and share with you that from stepping on to the pathway it has been, for me, a healing and empowering experience from which so many exciting things have happened, and I am still just as excited now as when I first started, perhaps even more so as I see so many people knowing themselves better, turning their lives into a more positive direction finding a fellowship of like-minded people from which friendships outside of the Circle have grown.
