Hello My Lovelies,
At last Sunday's service (8 September 2024) we started the day a man down as Aaron was unwell and could not be there to help with setting up, however we were fortunate indeed that our set up team includes Richard and Carol, who assisted in placing the chairs, putting up the head table and hanging the curtains and banners etc. otherwise we might still have been in the works.
As with most things, it takes a team to get things done and, when one is missing, then the team is stretched but never-the-less, the hall was transformed, the congregation came and the service progressed onwards, so to paraphrase one of my favourite people, Julian of Norwich, “And all shall be well.”
I would like to take the opportunity to thank our "Team" for their time and energy in helping us to set up the Service each fortnight. In today's busy world is so easy to get caught up in life and not fully appreciate the people that assist in making it all possible.
Each one of our team plays an integral and valuable part in ensuring that the Church services are ready on time. It certainly makes all the difference in achieving our objectives. The enthusiasm and teamwork completes a sense of unity within our team and we thank you for being an integral part of our success.
We had the wonderful benefit of experiencing the Meditation presented by Ann and Adrian Noyse. Ann’s voice and Adrian’s drumming transported us into another world. For me, it was a deep and comforting sense of being totally enclosed in a safe place; nothing to think about, nothing to worry about, nothing to do except just be. I spoke to other folks after the service, and each said they too felt as if they had been taken to some other place and it was hard to drag themselves back to reality.
Unfortunately, I was not able to transpose the Inspirational Talk given by Ann because the sound on my phone was so low that trying to discern the import of her talk was impossible. Hopefully, this is something that can be rectified before the next Church service.
Any way Lovelies, we all have a blessing or three that we can count so here is to everyone enjoying the coming days with sunshine on our bods and in our hearts.
