How to Live Your Life

My question to you is, “How can you live your life in a way that is in harmony with your own self development?”

Your spiritual journey really is your own self development. When you go into a Circle you develop your Mediumship and that leads to you developing your own spirit connection. By doing that you are developing your own energy, raising your vibrations so that you connect to that fourth dimension, the "Spirit" realm.

So, as you develop you get asked to look at different areas of your life. At how you are going to live your life. Over many years I have worked with energy anatomy. I have worked with healing. I love to do platform demos (demonstrations). I love to connect to Spirit. I love to bring that energy through and share that evidence.

However, I have also been looking at the different philosophies. Especially I like to look at the philosophy of how to live well.

Wayne Dyer is a kind of guru for me and I often say to my husband that we are going to bed tonight with Wayne and I will put the music on and get the inspiration as we drift off to sleep.

However, I have been looking at the Dao Te Ching. Particularly the Lao Tzu.  This is a very small book, and many say it is the wisest book that has ever been written. Lao Tzu was an ancient Chinese philosopher from the 5th and 6th century B.C., and he is the founder of Daoism.

This book shows the way to live your life. And it is a world masterpiece that is in line with The Bible. It is just 81 short chapters, and they reveal to you the way to reach powers in line with everything that is around us.

Lao Tzu says that the world in front of your eyes is the world of 10,000 demons, and you are distracted by the world in front of your eyes. That is the world of stuff. Carolyn Myss says that we become stuff-ologists. We like to put our stuff in cupboards and stuff it so that it falls on our head. So, at Christmas I went through my cupboards, and I decluttered. I got rid of my stuff and I’m hoping it is taking me closer to being less of a stuff-ologist and more of a person of space and being able to live in that vibration.

When you look at the very first words that come from the Dao Te Ching it says, “The Dao that can be trodden is not the enduring and unchanging Dao. The name that can be named is not the enduring and unchanging name.” This is the first little verse.

Very cryptic. It allows you to sit and contemplate what the meaning of those words may be. The moment you label it you negate it, and it is no longer the way. And so, the energy of walking in the way is walking into a harmony and balance with others, with all the world, both the internal and external.

I have been looking at how to live that. I’m not there yet. I’ll be completely honest with you. But I am certainly working on that philosophy of life.

With the Dao you are looking at being able to work with the energy of what you would like to have in your life, and when you make up your mind you set goals. You have a direction you want to follow. You look at where you want to be. You work out how we want to achieve that. It is all very mind focused on what the eye wants the ego wants and I know that when you bring the ego out then you Ease God Out. Most of us live our lives caught in this consistent process of, “I want to achieve this goal. I want to get that job. I want to work with that. I want. I want. I want.

What the Dao asks you to do is bring yourself into alignment with you want. So rather than you working hard at getting where you want to be, when you bring your energy into alignment and you step into that energy, what you are vibrationally releasing is what is going to be attracted to you. Now we call that procreating, creating our own reality and it has become popular over the years through teachers such as Louise Hay and many others.

This is a philosophy is older than the Bible, older than Christianity.

It is a way of living that says what you literately believe in every breath then what you vibrationally put out to the world, that is what is going to come back to greet you. That is how it will work in your life. And you can decide what you want; the new job, the holiday, the this, the that. However, if you cannot vibrationally connect to that energy then you will consistently be living in the world of the 10,000 demons and you begin to feel like a hamster on a hamster wheel and working too hard, however the Dao says that if you own it then it vibrationally aligns itself and works through you, bringing it into the world, you do not have to do anything. All you have to do is show up and be present in your energy.

We create our own reality, and we think we do that by saying our affirmations. I’m going to suggest that you do that by feeling the affirmations. You don’t have to say it. Because if you feel that affirmations then if you connect to it, it is not a question of ‘I want’ but more ‘I am’. This is ‘I have’ in that moment when you step into that energy, that energy can’t help but find you even if you run from it. And most of us do that. We get what we want and then we think, “careful what you ask for”. However, that is because vibrationally you say one thing, but you vibrate another which negates and cancels what you try to affirm. Have you ever felt that?

I have been looking at how you can align with this philosophy in the modern world, which is based in the material zone, where you are bombarded with these beliefs that everything is getting more expensive. When you go shopping it is confirmed. Just look at the price tags.

Now that comes down to a poverty mindset which tells you that you don’t have enough. It is very subtle in how this is expressed. You don’t even know you are doing it because you have been conditioned to have these beliefs, beliefs that undermine your true power of what you have within you as your energy.

We are energy first.

There is not one part of you that is not aligned to that Divine energy.

You are an absolute spiritual being in a physical world having a physical experience and everything is lining up to that Spirit.

You truly are in that essence.

Now there is an aspect of your spirit contained in your body, that is who you are. Your personality. How you express yourself. But that is not who you are. It is an aspect of that Divine essence.

How powerful are you? You must start from a place that you are the powerful creator in the universe. However, we are conditioned to believe that we are insignificant. That we shouldn’t trust our gut feelings. We should not back ourselves.

We should always question; however, I am asking you to think about the next time when that negative little mindset creeps in and brings a limited perspective.

A perspective that says, “No, you don’t deserve that” or “You can’t have that” because the truth is, you can have every single thing that you can vibrationally match.

So, what are you vibrationally aligning yourself to?

That is where it gets exciting. Okay?

Because YOU are in charge.

Once you can name that, once you can own that, you can look at it and ask yourself if you want that belief and to allow it have that much power over your life.

Are you always looking for that perfect person?

Well, you are never going to find that perfect person because you are always articulating what you want rather than what you have.

What do you have to give that relationship?

If you start to put that point just a shift in perception from, what I want to I have, then the shift moves you forward.

If you think, “I have the most amazing personality. I have a beautiful sense of humour that people are just drawn to. I have a wonderful life.” If you live your life from that vantage point everything else will just line up.

When someone walks into the room and you look at them, you may think you are seeing the person in front of you. However, are you? Yes…… They may look a certain way, and you may assume about the way they look, but what you are energetically doing is reading that person.

By doing that, you are coming back to your own sense of self and trying to decide if that person lines up with your energy and your beliefs in how you live your life.

Are they going to vibrationally match you?

Right? And if they do not then you will say, “Yes, they are nice enough. Okay maybe we can match down the track but really, I feel that they are not my cup of tea.”

So, what is the difference between a person who does vibrationally line up to that person?

You say, “Oh, I love them.” Right?

Because everything you get is matching you and that is not just in your relationships. It is when you are walking down the street, it is when you are at work or in any situation.

You are constantly judging……

However, if you are living in that “down” mindset where everything starts from within then you become very careful about what you say and where you find yourself and how you live. Because you know if somebody flips you off at the lights guess what. It could be because that is a vibration you need to experience, or it may be holding a mirror to you. It may be how you have behaved at a different time and I am not saying that you have done that, but you may have energetically been in that situation. Do you understand what I am saying?

The Dao Te Ching is very simple book. It is said that you can spend your whole life trying to understand it and trying to live that way. And I think that most of us are trying to reach out for a higher vibration than we are living. That journey of self-development.

You can have 150 million books in your bookshelf, but the reality is, that there are just a few things that you can do immediately to change your vibration.

And one is how to live with empathy in a world that does not do empathy that much anymore. With compassion that costs you nothing. You can have mercy. These are all powers that live within your energy and all line up with your energy centers. Empathy causes you to energetically connect with someone. When you are compassionate, you can look at that person and you can say, “Well, they are not behaving in a nice way. What is going on for them?” You know you cannot judge them because you have not walked their journey. Judgement. Mercy. You can release that energy from your body.

So, there are ways that you can live that cost you nothing. But take a few moments to check in with yourself to see how you are relating to this situation. Ask yourself, “What am I bringing to the table? How do I express my energy to the world? Is it with a warm heart? With kindness? With compassion? Is it with a feeling of being at one with everyone? Is it with a sense of superiority?” Abuse, if you understand it, comes from a sense of superiority. Feeling superior to another person is a form of abuse. And it usually takes the form of males. I am sorry to say that, but it does. Not all males of course but quite often it is directed against females.

When you can understand that you are not superior to anyone, that we are all one experiencing life on the earth, then you can find compassion and kindness and open-heartedness and appreciation for the diversity that lives among us all. Every single one of us expresses our beauty in our own way. And it is not always in a harmonious way, but it is our way.

And then it is our job to look at what is energetically going out of balance when we are feeling irritated, when we are feeling annoyed.  It is not about going to the person in front of you but rather, you need to go to the person within and ask, “What is it in this situation that is triggering this response.” And then, “How can I find a way to bring harmony and peace and balance in the moment.” Now that may just simply be, “Shut up! Walk away. Take a breath. Choose compassion. Choose mercy. Choose these human energy dynamics that bring the sense of wellbeing,” instead of division and dispute.

If you can just start from that, then you will literally turn your energy life around. And anybody who does not vibrationally match who you are today, will leave your life and you will not fear them anymore. So, stop trying to reach out there for what you want when it is in here. (Taps chest). You need to start here, and you need to be a match for what you want out there and then it is like a dartboard on your back. It will find you and it will hit the bull’s eye every time because it can’t miss you. It can’t.

You are lining up to that energy. You are stepping into that space. Now these are just a few of my thoughts in that sense of Spiritualism I got from the VSU which has brought me so much joy and taught me and given me a foundation that I will carry forward with gratitude for the whole of my life. However, there is a calling inside of me that said there is more than just one philosophy and we can reach out and we can incorporate a lot of different philosophies into our expression in the world.

I have found the Dao brings me peace, and maybe it is a selfish philosophy that I have going on because my day job is quite intense and if I don’t have that peace I could really burn out. I can feel very stressed and traumatised because that is what can happen in the Social Welfare sector, so I have found that this brings that peace to my life and I never burn my energy out because when I am feeling frazzled or something is challenging me.

I take myself away and I sit down and I bring myself into alignment. I hold that challenging situation into my mind, and I meditate, and I look at it holistically. I try to work from a place of, “How can I bring that into the world in a more positive framework when I am dealing with this person.” You see how that can help you every day in every way in your life.

So, I thank you for reading my article…..

I hope you look at Lao Tzu and listen to the Dao and take time to listen to Wayne Dyer. He has over 10 hours of inspiration.

If you can listen to him at night, put in your air buds and listen to him in bed. Wayne spent a year sitting with each of these 84 passages and then he brought forward the inspiration that came through.

And it is an inspiration – it will change your life.
