Some Thoughts About Life's Challenges

I recently started to think about how my perspective would change if I suddenly had a life changing diagnosis. We all live our lives like we are immortal, as if we have all the time in the world. The truth is of course, we are not immortal, and we don't know when death will come to us.

So, I created a bucket list to remind me of what is really important and to break the practice of repeating the same habits and patterns I have become set in. Top of that list was to spend time with the people I love and admire; to converse, to laugh, to speculate about life and love as well as good food and wine.

To have a sense of purpose, a mission if you will, to make life better in some way. To maintain a sense of wonder and curiosity about the world. Thinking about the world, we see the worst of humanity's behaviour played out every day so we can see what we don't want. So, what can we do?

Perhaps it goes back to where we put our attention, not out in the world but back to ourselves. What about our dreams and desires? What would you wish for if you could change the world. Your self-care has never been more important, so maybe it’s time to dream of what you want to see in the world, peace and joy and compassion for all life. A planet of abundance and cooperation for all people.

We have an opportunity to dream big because our intention and focus will help to create the kind of world we want to see. Time to dust off those dreams and be a little kinder to yourself and to dream of a better world. It starts with us! I will leave you with that thought - happy dreaming.
